Prizes, Awards, Bursaries...













Please go to the "Opportunities" tab for the latest details on how to apply for exciting new  opportunities for artists. In particular I would like to draw your attention to the brand new "John Ruskin Prize". 


This new prize created by the Campaign for Drawing and the Guild of St George aims to encourage fresh interpretations of the natural environment. The deadline is the 1st June, for details about the prize how to apply visit  John Ruskin Prize

Isobel Brigham















Isobel Brigham will be exhibiting in the Christmas Show at Browse and Darby, 19 Cork Street, London, W1S. Opening 6 December, 6- 8pm, exhibition continues until 23 December.

Joanna Moore & Nhatt Nichols

















Jo and Nhatt will be running a stall selling their art work at "Up Market" on Brick Lane every Sunday in the weeks running up to Christmas.

Rosie MacCurrach


Rosie will have a spare room available in mid january, she lives in a shared house in Tottenham, on a quiet road, 5 min walk from Seven Sisters tube,(20 mins to oxford circus) and overland (15 mins to liverpool st).Rent is £375 per month not including bills. Indian Teaching Residency
















This year's alumni teachers, Emma Seach, Siobhan Lennon, Konrad Gabriel and Daniel Preece, have set off for India to teach at the International Institute of Fine Art in Modinagar until the end of December. Here is a picture from Konrad of the busy streets of Delhi!

Anna Ilsley's paintings "The Ghosts in the Back Garden" and "Bangladesh" were selected for this year's Bloomberg New Contemporaries show which will be on at the ICA from 23 November- 15 January.

Stuart Pearson Wright



Stuart Pearson Wright's portrait of Alison Steadmen is currently on view at the National Portrait Gallery in an exhibition entitled Actresses Now. The portrait displayed above is by Drawing School tutor Ishbel Myerscough.

Antonia Bruce













Antonia Bruce (student 2003/4) put together an exhibition looking at the role of faith in the healing process. It is called Infinitas Gracias and is the Miracles part of Miracles and Charms which is  currently showing at Wellcome Collection, on Euston Road until the end of Feb 2012. It features votive paintings from Mexico showing miraculous happenings in peoples lives.
