Abbey Awards

The Abbey Scholarship and Abbey Fellowships offer all-expenses-paid Residency in Rome, with a stipend of up to £700 a month for the Scholar and £800 for Fellows. The nine-month Abbey Scholarship is usually given to an emergent painter, while the three-month Abbey Fellowships are awarded to mid-career painters. Abbey Awards are open to people of UK and US nationality, and to citizens of other countries provided that they have lived in the UK or the US for at least 5 years. There is no age limit. Jerwood Drawing Prize 2013



Alumnus Coll McDonnell (work pictured) and tutor Jeanette Barnes are in this year's Jerwood Drawing Prize 2013, and current Drawing Year student, Kristian Fletcher, was awarded the student prize for his pen pencil and charcoal drawing 'The Wrench'. Anna Ilsley



Anna won the British School at Athens Bursary 2013. She has just gone to Athens where she will be making work about the seers at Delphi.
