Bulldog Bursary
The Bulldog Bursary aims to develop the talent of a portrait artist at an early stage in their career. The bursary is worth £5,000, plus an extra donation of £2,500 from the de Laszlo Foundation. The aim is to provide an opportunity for an artist, regardless of location, to be mentored by Members of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. Other benefits include access to facilities at the Heatherley School of Fine Art.

Exhibition at The Prince's Drawing School
Alumni Christopher Green, Phoebe Cope, Sophie Charalambous, Rydal Hanbury and tutors Martin Shortis, Jeanette Barnes and Sharon Beavan will be exhibiting large scale drawings in this group show at The Prince’s Drawing School . Show ends 10 May.

Artist's Retreat in Ireland
Alumnus Phoebe Cope runs a residency at her family home Shankill Castle, in Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. The house is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and gardens and has been a hub for artists and writers for over two decades. For 190 euros a week they provide each artist with a self catering apartment which includes a twin or double bedroom, a bathroom, a studio and a large kitchen.
Leigh Niland
Leigh's work will be featured in a book called "The Art of Dissent: London's Olympic State" which is edited by Hilary Powell, others contributors include Iain Sinclair. The book will be launched in June, for more information see: Londons Olympic State
