Several Drawing School alumni and tutors have work in the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize this year. Tomorrow will be the last chance to view the exhibition, which includes works by Jenny Smith, Tim Betjeman, Serena Rowe, Amelia Power, Kathryn Maple and Laura Footes. The submission deadline for The John Ruskin Prize 2014 is 7th April. In its second year, The John Ruskin Prize invites artists to present fresh, contemporary visions of their urban, rural or social environment.
Jonathan Silverman's solo exhibition 'At Hand and Far Away' is currently showing at Serena Morton gallery until 28th March. Originating in the study of Hindu Temples whilst artist in residence at the International Institute of Fine Art, Modinagar, India, in 2012, Jonathan's new paintings focus on the power of symbolic architectures and their exploration through the process of painting.
