Speaking about launching London
Morgan’s art exhibition, Rachel writes: 'I am delighted to be exhibiting at London Morgan, hopefully my
work will resonate with the visitors of the showroom and they will appreciate
the fusion of innovation and tradition present in my drawings. Through the
process of observation I enjoy learning about plants and their distinctive
patterns of growth. Nature exits, it has no preconceived end, plants seek
the light and grow. In my work I reflect this by allowing the drawing to
spread across the paper in an intuitive way.'

Sophie Charalambous at Jessica Carlisle
Sophie Charalambous is having a solo exhibition at Jessica Carlisle, 'From the Foreshore'.
Tuesday 3 - Sunday 8 March 2015
83 Kinnerton Street, London SW1X 8ED
10 am - 6 pm (12 pm - 6 pm weekends)
Private View: Thursday 5 March 6 - 8 pm
Artist Talk: Saturday 7 March 3 pm
'In this exhibition Charalambous explores the foreshore, that liminal place between land and water, past and present. For, standing on the detritus of centuries, one cannot but contemplate what has passed before. The river is a melancholic and brooding presence haunting these images, and the artist carries us along in its tide, through the flotsam and jetsam, past townhouses overlooking the water’s edge, to meet with mudlarkers and mysterious watermen. This poetic journey, rich with allusion, shows us the river not as a place of leisure and enjoyment, but as a place of mystery and darkness. Thus the foreshore becomes a boundary, a strange hinterland, an edge-land.'
