Griffin Art Prize

The deadline for the Griffin Art Prize 2014 has been extended to midnight 10 August.

In its third year, the Griffin Art Prize offers the prizewinner a six month residency  in the Studio Building, 21, Evesham Street, London W11 4AJ. This is a large, well-lit studio, with materials provided by sponsors Winsor & Newton, Liquitex and Conté à Paris, and a small financial allowance. The residency culminates in a one-person show in the Griffin Gallery, London W11, with a printed catalogue.

The competition is open to all artists who have graduated since 2009. 20 artists selected for the long list will be showcased on their website, while the 10 short-listed artists will be included in an exhibition at the Griffin Gallery, private view 18 November 2014.

"The judges will be looking for innovation in painting and drawing and for the applicants’ potential to benefit from the residency."
