Silent Art Auction in Aid of Parkinson's UK



Rebecca Court of the Foundation has organised a a charity silent art auction that she is organising at the Royal College of Art on Thursday 18 December 2014, 6 – 9pm. Lower Gulbenkien Gallery, Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, Kensington, SW72EU

Over 40 established and emerging artists have come together to donate artworks to Parkinson’s UK for the auction.
The auction will be a silent ‘sealed bid’ auction with artworks starting with a minimum reserve ranging from £40- £200. You will have the opportunity to view the artworks on offer and submit a bid from 6-8pm on the evening of the auction. Successful bids will be announced between 8-9pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bid on artworks by some of the UK’s exciting emerging, as well as established contemporary artists, whilst supporting the important work at Parkinson’s UK.

Artists involved in the auction include Catherine Goodman as well as many Faculty and Alumni from the School including; Sharon Beavan, Gethin Evans, Kate Scrivener, Chris Green, Michael Chance, Sophie Charalambous, Tom Sander, Perienne Christian, Phoebe Stannard, Samantha Marshall, Mary Milner, Jonathan Silverman, Leonie Lachlan and Johanna Zhang as well as a number of high profile faculty and alumni from the Royal College of Art and other leading educational institutions.

One person in every 500 has Parkinson's, that's about 127,000 people in the UK. Parkinson’s UK have been working for more than 40 years to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's. The auction will aim to raise vital funds that are needed to enable them to keep providing support to everyone affected by this disease.
